Students can create accounts using two different processes, depending on whether or not the teacher imported a class via Google Classroom.
Using a class code
1. Students go to app.getwritable.com.
2. Click “I’m a student”.
3. Students log in with their school email addresses (Please note: Like teachers, students will need a Google, Gmail, or G Suite for Education account).
4. Google may ask students for permission to give Writable access to Drive and Docs. They should click "Allow".
5. Students enter the class code they received from their teacher. (See How do I create a class? for details on retrieving your class code.)
Using Google Classroom
1. Students go to app.getwritable.com.
2. Click “I’m a student”.
3. Students log in with the school email address associated with their Google Classroom account. They don't need a class code because they'll be grouped into the class associated with the Google Classroom class they're in.
